Dr. Thomas Geracioti, is a psychoneuroendocrinologist, a Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and a physician at the Cincinnati Veterans Medical Center. Dr. Geracioti graduated with a B.A. in Philosophy from Northwestern University and received his M.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed his residency and an internship in Pscyhiatry at University of California, San Francisco and a Fellowship in Clinical Neuroendocrinology at the National Institute of Mental Center. He has served as Chief of Psychiatry at the Cincinnati Veterans Medical Center and Chief Clinical Officer in Psychiatry at the University Hospital. Clinically, Dr. Geracioti’s foci are anxiety and mood disorders, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and the influence of hormone and neurotransmitter signals on the structure of consciousness.
